Veronique de l'enfance
Novi Sad, October 2024
The work is designed as an installation and is placed on the floor to immerse the viewer in the sense of curiosity and wonder that children feel when observing flowers beneath their feet.

Veronica is the artist’s favorite flower from childhood. As a child, she often admired these small, charming flowers, attractively standing out with their azure color against the green backdrop. They always gave off a sense of freshness, even when the sun played on their stems.
The flowers evoked a feeling of hope and belief in a beautiful future, a sense that the world is vast and kind if it contains such delicate and bright flowers.

Another association the artist has with Veronica is the music of Sade, drifting from a nearby café by the lake during a walk with her mother in the park — carefree, peaceful, and bright moments of childhood.

Additions
To enhance the visual portrayal of Veronica, the scent of pollen was incorporated, allowing the viewer to experience the fragrance of the flowers when leaning towards the meadow. Additionally, a lamp was used to create lighting that immerses the viewer in the sensation of sunlight shining on the plants.
